While at a dinner in D.C...

While participating in the pre-event celebratory dinner before an athletic event in D.C., I chatted with my fellow teammates from around the Detroit area. During the event we all marveled at the immense size of the hotel conference room and the positive energy generated from all the participants. It all was pretty impressive.

So while waiting for our meals to be served, I spontaneously arose from my seat and marveled at the size of the crowd that had worked so hard to raise money for this worthy organization. There were over 800 participants at this event and each person had committed to raise and donate a minimum of $3,500 to participate in this event. As a result, this organization had raised over $3 million in one night, all for cancer research. Wow!

At that moment I imagined if all businesses committed to fundraising or giving on a scale large enough to help uplift charitable organizations that fed the hungry and assisted with other basic needs to help people thrive in their communities. I was excited by the thought that charitable organizations didn’t have to commit so much of their resources seeking donations but were uplifted by additional streams of income so they are better financially equipped to uplift the people they serve.

Therefore, Patér Place is committed to giving 10% of its net profits to charitable organizations that directly serve the community; whether with food, clothing, counseling, etc.

Join us as we seek to uplift artists and artisans and their businesses within the community.  Your purchases help uplift non-profits with additional revenue as they uplift people. Even fine art purchases can uplift your family's generational wealth and celebrate heritage, as the artistic assets are handed down.

Our Inspiration

“The elimination of systemic poverty is a sign the kingdom of God is at hand.”  - Bishop Vaughn McLaughlin

If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord—and he will repay you! Proverbs 19:17

Blessed are those who are generous, because they feed the poor. Proverbs 22:9

And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22:39

Then Jesus said to his host, “When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”  Luke 14:12-14

Their only suggestion was that we keep on helping the poor, which I have always been eager to do.  Galatians 2:10

If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.  Romans 10:9
